FAQ

What are Pocket Diapers?

Pocket diapers - there is a pocket in the diaper you can adjust the absorbency by stuffing with the variety of inserts that made of microfiber, hemp etc. You can put several inserts in for nighttime or heavy wetters, or only using a piece of insert in for a very trim fit during the daytime. Pocket diapers are also easy to clean because the inserts are being removed for washing washing. The inner layer are usually made of the microfleece or suedecloth, which wicks moisture away from babies skin and into the absorbent insert, helping to prevent or reduce diaper rash.

What are All-In-Ones (AIOs)?

AIOs are like a fitted diaper and cover sewn together. So, most mommies find it more convenient to use.  It works exactly like the disposable diapers.  However, this design takes longer duration to be dried.

What are Liners, Doublers, and Inserts?

Liners are a thin piece of fabric, or paper, which is laid inside the diaper, next to baby's skin. Disposable liners are used so that you can easily flush or throw away solid waste. Some mommies like to use disposable liners while they are away from home. Another popular type of liner is the fleece liner. Fleece wicks moisture away from baby's skin, preventing diaper rash. Fleece also is stain resistant and allows solid waste to generally fall right off and into the toilet for easy clean-up.

A doubler is anything that lay inside the diaper in order to increase absorbency. It can be anything from a hemp/cotton fleece doubler, to a CPF or an old towel.

Inserts are used to stuff the pocket diapers. The most common inserts are microfiber and hemp inserts, as these material are good in absorbency.  Microfiber can absort very fast, Hemp can absort much much pee.  Most mommies will choose to use a piece of microfiber insert for day use / trimmer effect, and choose to use Microfiber + Hemp inserts for the night use, for extra absorbency.

Why use cloth wipes?

Some babies are sensitive to the ingredients in disposable wipes. They can be very drying and irritating to the skin. Cloth wipes are easy to be used too, and more economical.  Can be washed with the cloth diapers after using it.

If I choose to use Cloth Diaper, how many pieces do I need to purchase?

Recommended -  12 to 20 cloth diapers (based on daily washing, a combination of sizes).

And do you believe, this is only a 'one time investment' for you, baby will enjoy the beauty of the cloth diapers from the moment he / she born until he / she potty trained!!  Amazing!

How often do I need to change a cloth diapers?

Whether baby is using the cloth diapers or disposable diapers, they should be changed every 2-3 hours as to prevent or reduce the diaper rashes.

I want to “go green” but love the convenience of disposable diapers. How?

Actually, the worked exactly like the disposable, the only different is, instead of throwing it into the dusbin, you throw it into the washing machine.

Cloth Diapers can be used for night time too?

It doens't matter whether for Night or Day use.  For most baby, day use with 2-3 hours changes will need one piece of regular inserts, night use will be using more inserts, 2 pieces of inserts (one size insert x 1 / regular insert x 1 or if heavy wetter, add another piece of hemp insert), this will last the baby for the whole night, no changes in between needed.

Does cloth diapers look bulkier?

It may looks bulkier, but does it really matter that much? As long as baby is using a healthier diapering method. No plastic.  No paper.  No chemical

Can I use cloth diapers when I'm away from home?

Absolutely! It is just as easy as to toss a few cloth diapers into the diaper bag as it is to grab disposables. Just bring along a waterproof tote / wet bag, or plastic shopping bag for keeping the dirty diapers. Well, some mommies prefer using the disposables while they are on long vacation as washing of cloth diapers might not be convenient during these time.  It is entirely depend on your individual lifestyle.

Can I use cloth diapers if my child goes to daycare?

Sure can. Talk to your daycare provider, show her the cloth diapers you plan to use, and make it as easy as possible for her. AIOs or pocket diapers are especially nice for this situation. Just tell your daycare provider that instead of folding up a disposable diaper and tossing it in the trash, they can fold up your cloth diaper, put it in a waterproof tote / wet bag and give it back to you. You can take care of the rest when you get home.

Can I use both the Cloth Diapers and Disposable Diapers?

Sure, it is entirely up to you, whichever works better for you.  Of course, reduce using the disposable diapers is strongly recommended.  Good for parents!  Better for the Earth!  Best for the Babies!!!!

How to get rid of the stubborn stains, if there is?

Sometimes, due to certain solid food that consume by the baby, you may experience stubborn stain. The best and most natural way to remove stains is by sun bleaching. Lay your diapers in the direct sun, the sun will naturally bleach out any stains.
